Year 5 Fishbowl Week

This week, our hard-working Transition Team welcomed 400 Primary children from Year 5 to school, to allow them to have a glimpse of what a secondary school is like. These taster days – which we call “Fishbowl Days” – enable young students to see the workings of the school, how they will need to move classroom from subject to subject, try lessons in Drama, English, PE, Music and more, and get a better understanding of how large a secondary school is. They were supported by our wonderful Year 9 Peer Mentors, who answered their questions and showed them around. We hope that if your child was one of them that they enjoyed their day at “big school”!
